Introduction
The Australian Air League is a youth organisation formed in 1934, which encourages an interest in aviation as a career or as a hobby for the youth of Australia.The organisation is entirely self-funding and is staffed by volunteers who give their time generously to achieve its goals.
Padstow Squadron was formed in 1962 and its aim is to offer an interesting and comprehensive program to its members.
In 2006, club station VK2EHL was issued to Padstow Sqn to develop amateur radio in the training and activities program. In 2007, AAL Padstow Sqn became a WIA Affiliated radio club. Current and former members of the Australian Air League are welcome to register with the club station as affiliated members.
Meetings
Padstow Squadron meets at the Endeavour Hall, 89 The River Road, Revesby every Friday evening.
Amateur radio forms a part of a wider program of training and activities. The Endeavour Hall is equipped with HF, VHF and UHF capabilities.
Club Activities & Events
Club station VK2EHL is activated on Friday nights as part of the training program. VK2EHL is also activated field portable on camps and outdoor training activities.
We are keen to schedule contacts with amateur stations of cadet units, scouts and other youth groups.

In 2009, the Australian Air League will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary and we will be looking at ways to celebrate this event in amateur radio with current and former members.

Training Courses And Assessment Information
Padstow Sqn offers training in electronics and radio as a part of the Australian Air League training program.
Padstow Sqn is also able offer training in the Foundation License for members of the Australian Air League.
