Adelaide Metro

The Club provides a meeting place for people who share an interest in Community Radio, Short Wave Listening, CB Radio, Amateur Radio and Electronics. We encourage and help those interested in obtaining an Amateur Radio Operator's Licence.

We hope to offer a WIA Exam Service accredited assessors to provide a service for examinations in Port Pirie in the near future.

We actively promote amateur radio through a "radio net" held each a week on Tuesday nights at 20:00 on air on VK5RMN 146.700.

The Club also holds a monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday and encourages attendance of those interested in the hobby. Our goal is to promote radio communications in all of its aspects in the Mid North of South Australia

We are also planning Amateur Radio Lessons in the near further for anyone who might wish to get their Amateur Licence

The group has two WIA Assessors within its members and assessments can be arranged as required.

Upcoming Courses and Assessments

We will have training days and examinations in the near future at the TraxFM Studios at number 8 Wandearah Road Port Pirie. Time and day to be advised. We will cater for foundation licenses and upgrades, we have limited places available, contact Dave Carwana VK5DMC on 0438 027 543 for further information.
