Introduction
Formally "North west Tasmania Amateur Radio Interest Group".
Established 2004 after the winding up of the three state branches of the WIA to provide continuity to the former assets of the North West Branch.
CCARC has provided training to prospective new amateur operators, social activities, project building and operates the club callsign VK7NW on special occasions and on amateur events,
Maintain and operate voice repeaters VK7RNW 2m, VK7RAC 70cm, VK7RMD 2m and 70cm. Beacons VK7RAE 6m, 2m, 23cm and an APRS digipeater at Table Cape

Next meeting will be a general meeting commencing 1:30pm Saturday 30th April 2011
Meetings are normally at 1:30pm on the last Saturday of every month i.e. 28th march 2009
Club Activities & Events
Soldering practice and kit building sessions. Field days, Activating stations at northwest lighthouses for International Lighthouse week. This years event was an overwhelming success thanks to the efforts of Eric, vk7feje, and Wayne, vk7fway. We also provide safety radio networks for equine endurance rides. There is also a social net run on VHF repeater Mt Duncan, 146.625Mhz, commencing at 9:00pm Tuesday evenings AFTER the 8pm news re-broadcast.
Wia and Regional news broadcasts are put to air on Sunday mornings commencing at 0900 (9:00am) Local Tasmanian Time every Sunday (except the Remembrance Day Contest weekend) and on the following Tuesday evening at 2000 (8:00PM). On the North West it is put to air on the Mt Duncan repeater, 146.625mHz...
