Approved entities are those that are accepted for ARRL DXCC Awards, contacts are valid from 1st January 1946, with the W.I.A. reserving the right to make different decisions in regard to additions and deletions.

Having obtained the DXCC award, holders may register subsequent claims for higher totals and these will be published twice a year in Amateur Radio Magazine in the form of a ladder.

Applications for higher totals should be made in multiples of 25 up to a total of 200 and thereafter in multiples of 10 up to a total of 325. Special achievement award labels are available at 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325.

After a total of 325 are reached applications
will be processed in one-entity steps or as required. W.I.A. Honour Roll achievement label is issued at the qualifying period, it is nine less the total DXCC entity list.

Special endorsements can be requested for all approved single or combined modes and frequencies.
Direct two way un-assisted contacts with Satellites (SAT) are included as from 1st of March 1965.

Should an entity be deleted from the DXCC list, credit for that entity will be allowed if worked before the date of deletion. The DXCC ladder will show the number tally if worked before the date of deletion.

The DXCC ladder will show the members the valid entity list and the total of approved plus deleted entities. e.g. 200/220 meaning 200 current entities and an extra 20 that have been deleted at some time, but were worked before the date of deletion. All claimed QSO’s must be made from the same DXCC entity. Submissions are approved using multiple Callsigns providing they are contained to one DXCC country.

Multiple Callsign applications licensed under the same name can only be accepted “once” and are not transferable, they will be registered under the Callsign of the application.(i.e. VK1ABC, VK2ABC, VK3ABC, VK4ABC, VK5ABC, VK6ABC, VK7ABC = VK8ABC).
