WIA Emergency Communications Operator Training - Level 2
Online Training Course
The WIA is training amateurs for activities associated with emergency communications preparedness. In association with the WIA's Recognised Training Organisation (RTO), TrainSafe, a nationally recognised training package has now been developed.
Application to undertake the online course should be completed using the form below. The fee for WIA members is $30. Non WIA members pay $65 and will be awarded temporary 6-month non-voting membership of the WIA.
All persons applying for Emergency Communications Training will be asked to provide a current Australian drivers licence number or if they do not have a current drivers licence to phone the WIA office. Persons who have successfully completed training can then apply for WIA accreditation as a Volunteer Communications Operator. The application for WIA accreditation includes questions relating to personal health, fitness and availability, and only persons assessed as suitable will be awarded WIA accreditation as a WIA Volunteer Communications Operator.
