About Justin Giles-Clark
Been a licenced radio amateur since 1986. Currently the VK7 Regional News & Broadcast Coordinator and enjoy promoting this great hobby of ours. Am a WIA Learning Facilitator and really love sharing knowledge and information about amateur radio and electronics.
Radio Activities Love homebrewing and building electronics projects and really enjoy microcontrollers and using them for a variety of projects. I play with satellites every so often and enjoy the challenge. I'm actively involved in running the Digital ATV group which runs a broadcast every Wednesday night in Hobart and have a developing interest in the weak signal narrow bandwidth and microwave modes.
Hobbies Building and experimenting with light communications equipment both line of sight and non-line of sight via cloud bounce and particle scatter. Experimenting with HPSDR, Linux and microcontrollers - PicAxe, Arduino, MSP430, etc. Also into precision frequency references involving GPS Disciplined Oscillators and PLLs. Mad about geocaching and I love A Cappella singing especially gospel, taize chants and vocal mucking about!
