About Justin Giles-Clark
Been a licenced radio amateur since 1986. Really love sharing knowledge and information about amateur radio and electronics.
Radio Activities Love homebrewing and software defined radios. I play with 630m, microwaves, weak signal modes, DATV, satellites, etc. I'm actively involved in local club running a DATV experimenter's group every Wednesday night in Hobart.
Hobbies Building and experimenting with light communications equipment both line of sight and non-line of sight via cloud bounce and particle scatter. Experimenting with HPSDR, RTL-SDR and microcontrollers. Also into precision frequency references involving GPS Disciplined Oscillators and PLLs. Mad about SOTA - VK7 Association manager and bushwalking.
Family Married to Helen with son Reuben VK7FREU.
