The Club was founded in 1948 by a group of Amateurs living in the Moorabbin area. They held weekly meetings in a radio shop owned by Col Gibson, VK3FO, in Centre Road Bentleigh.
In 2018 we celebrated the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the Club. Compiling the history of the Club is an ongoing project and we invite all members past and present to contribute their recollections and anecdotes. Please contact the Secretary if you wish to contribute.
We hold our Hamfest in May each year. This is a major event in the Amateur calendar and continues to be the largest Hamfest in Victoria. Check the Club website for more details.


2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. 2:00PM to 3:30PM Check website for changes.

Every Tuesday morning - 10:00am - Our senior members meet for coffee and a chat. Leon, VK3DTL, leads the group. Visitors welcome. Check website for COVID related changes.

The clubrooms are located at the Combined Clubs complex, 33-35 Turner Road,Highett, Victoria. Melways ref - 77 J9
Enter via gate on Turner Road. Follow the track and look for the Antennas on the roof of the Clubrooms.
