Notes on the RFmate as at 28/5/2008

(1) The PCB was initially used for another project before the RFmate (at transverter copntroller), so
there are parts of the PCB not used for the RFmate. Also, the component designations (U1 etc) shown on
the schematic do not agree with those shown on the PCB layout. Hopefully it's not too difficult to figure out...
The original schematic & pcb files are named controller_1_2. The schematic of the RFmate is called
network_analyser_cpu_1a I've added some more info' to the schematic which might help.

(2) The swicthes shown on the schematic are shown as normally open, however the prototype unit (and firmware)
use normally closed switches.

(3) I have inadvertantly lost the PCB layout for the AD8302 unit... sorry. It's easy to redo in EAGLE CAD
as there are only a few components.

(4) A 20 W thru-terminator/power detector module was built but not used in the final AR article. It's also
in the zipped files.

(5) The log amp and prescaler sections of the above unit were used to produce the internal detector & prescaler
used in the original article. This was done by cutting up the PCB and adding a 3db splitter.

(6) The photo's show the 'as built' RFmate as well as the thru-terminator.

Good luck and happy experimenting. I'm happy to assist with problems you may encounter, but have limited time...
