SUMMARY:AM and CW on Anzac day
DESCRIPTION:Brief Description: AM and CW on Anzac Day\n\nDetailed
Description: The event is an Amateur Radio remembrance of those who
served by using the old Radio Modes eg AM and CW.\nIn Queensland we use
the AM dedicated frequency of 7.125 Mhz as many of the old rigs that are
used are not frequency agile eg crystals are used.\nThe Townsville
Amateur Radio Club acts as net control as its central location\, in a
WW2 Command bunker\, give enhanced probability of Rxing more distant
southern stations.\nIt has been running for many years.\nAlso it simply
asks that the usual SSB nets simply switch to AM for the day and
experience the old band.\nThe idea for the event come from a WW2 Coast
watcher ex Sergeant Lionel Veale who used the portable QRP AM/CW
transceiver ATR4A during several missions to various locations.\nCW
 frequencies 7.018\, 10.108 and 28.018 Mhz +/- .\n\nMike VK4MIK \nex RAN
