About Jason Reilly
Jason has been active in many forms of radio communication for over 25 years, from the first crystal set built at age 8, progressing through to CB & shortwave listening, scanning, and general hobby electronics. Presently employed in the telecommunications industry, Jason works with fixed and mobile digital radio equipment along with many other related technologies.
Radio Activities VK7ZJA spends much of any free 'radio time' listening around the bands, and has plans to explore the 10 & 24 GHz microwave bands using gear salvaged as cheaply as possible. PSK31 on 20 metres is a favourite operating mode. Often participates in the Trans-Tasman contest, but is by no means a serious contester - I'm in it for the fun factor
Hobbies Jason is also an active volunteer firefighter, and enjoys fishing, boating, walking to keep fit, has an interest in all aspects of aviation, and is a keen collector of vintage leather flying jackets.
