About Justin Giles-Clark
Been a licenced radio amateur since 1986. Really love sharing knowledge and information about amateur radio and electronics. Specialist assessor for amateur radio training and assessment with the ACMA.

Radio Activities Love homebrewing, magnetic loops and software defined radios. I play with 630m, microwaves, weak signal modes, DATV, satellites, etc. I'm actively involved in local club running a DATV experimenter's group every Wednesday night in Hobart. I have compiled the VK7 Amateur Radio Broadcast since 2004 and written numerous articles for a variety of magazines including AR Magazine.
Hobbies Building and experimenting with light communications equipment both line of sight and non-line of sight via cloud bounce and particle scatter. Experimenting with HPSDR, RTL-SDR and microcontrollers. Also into precision frequency references involving GPS Disciplined Oscillators and PLLs. Mad about SOTA - VK7 Association manager and bushwalking.
Family Married to Helen with son Reuben VK7FREU.
