Introduction
Founded in 1982, the Peel Amateur Radio Group Inc is a multifaceted amateur radio and electronic enthusiasts club. Activities range from communication with the International Space Station and satellites to simple electronic building projects. It can be an inexpensive hobby which has no age barriers. PARG membership ages range from teens to people in their 80's.
PARG has always had a close association with the Mandurah State Emergency Service Unit. Both organisations have a formal Memorandum of Understanding agreement (MoU). PARG uses the callsign VK6SES from the Mandurah SES HQ. Currently around 20 percent of PARG members are also SES volunteers, creating a valuable skills overlap.
PARG is a member of the Mandurah City Local (government) Emergency Management Committee (LEMC).
PARG is a dynamic and friendly group of approx. 35 financial members who are keen to welcome new members.
We welcome all visitors to our monthly meetings and events. If you'd like to find out if Amateur Radio is for you, please join us at one of our meetings where we will be happy to point you in the right direction.
