About The WIA Online Logbook

Online Logbook History

The WIA Online logbook was first used back in 2010 to manage the logging for the WIA Centenary special event callsign VK100WIA. For the event it was very highly utilised with over 24,000 contacts logged to celebrate the historic milestone.

Since then the logging system was re-used for the VK4 Centenary celebration with over 5,500 contacts logged to commemorate the occasion.

Today the online logbook has been extended and made available for use with multiple simultaneous special event callsigns and commemorations.

Disclaimer

This system is new, and may have bugs. If you notice anything not quite right, please advise vk3ohm@wia.org.au.

Using The Online Logbook

The online logbook has three pages, the first page the Roster is used to show timeslots that are both available and that have been booked. By clicking on the link of a booked timeslot you will be able to see details of the club or group who have booked the timeslot their planned times of operation, proposed bands, frequencies etc.

The second page displays a realtime log with search field, refreshing this page you will see the very latest contacts as they are being logged in real time. By using the search field you will be able to enter your callsign and find yourself in the log.

The third page is password protected and and provided to clubs and groups to log contacts in real time. The page can be used on any web browser and logs the contacts in UTC time.

Please do not send your QSL cards to the WIA
