Trove is a very powerful and useful research tool if you are seeking newspaper reports. There is no fee for its use.
The Newspaper data base is expanding almost daily and many regional papers are now available on line, so writing the history of your local club, or researching a notable amateur in your area, is now quite easy. Give it a go!
