Dear Michael

WIA Centenary

May I on behalf of the President, Board and Members of the Radio Society of Great Britain offer our heartiest congratulations to the Wireless Institute of Australia on reaching 100 years in representing the interests of the Amateur Radio Community in Australia.

This wonderful achievement would not have been reached without the outstanding commitment of the many thousands of volunteers who have worked tirelessly for the WIA over the past 100 years. They are to be warmly congratulated.

We are disappointed that we cannot be in Canberra to share the celebrations with you but instead forward this small gift in recognition of the WIA achievements and the warm friendship between our two Societies.

We all hope you have a great weekend.
Best 73's
Yours sincerely

Dear Mr President!

On behalf of Finnish radio amateurs we wish to congratulate Wireless Institute of Australia in connection of the centenary celebration of organised Amateur Radio in Australia. You have gone a long way, indeed, in establishing one of the most respected national amateur radio associations of the global fraternity and developing it into a modern organization representing amateur radio operators of your fascinating country.

On this remakable day we, Finnish radio amateurs, wish to join your celebration and express our sincere thanks for the first hundred years serving our hobby in Australia. We always enjoy chatting with your members "down under" and look forward to continue our cooperation in the IARU.

73 and congratulations!

Congratulations on 100 years of the WIA. I spent some time with Chris, VK5CP at the Dayton Hamvention and saw his presentation at the contest forum. From the presentation and the conversations with Chris, it appears the ham community in Australia is very active in many avenues within the hobby. I hope the WIA enjoys another 100 years of promoting the hobby and the interests of the hams down under.

I look forward to putting many VK's in my log as they celebrate this incredible milestone.

Respectfully,
Steve Hanlon, WM3O

Dear Mr President: Although I shall be writing my congratulations to the WIA in a PW magazine news item, I think it's appropriate to send my own heartiest congratulations to you Sir on the WIA's 100 years. What an achievement! However humble my wishes are compared to the RSGB's, ARRL and IRTS, etc. I hope you may realise just how much I admire your remarkable anniversary. Indeed, it makes my 21 years as Editor of PW look insignificant compared to your 100 years!
Congratulations again and best wishes from PW, its staff and Publishers.

The Committee and members of ARSK send their congratulations and best wishes to WIA on the occasion of your Centenary. You are the best possible example to small and not-so-old societies, and show what can be done with careful thought and unremitting effort!
