Other Activities
It is anticipated that this period is aligned with the 2010 mid-winter field day and as such the first two days of operation will provide field day and home stations with an opportunity to make contact with the Centenary station. Additionally national and international amateurs will have the opportunity to make contact on HF via a dedicated HF station co-sited with the field day team. Members of WANSARC, their families, friends and members of the public will be invited to visit and view this portable station. Members will be on hand to answer questions of the hobby. Less experienced members of the club will have an opportunity to be mentored on field station operations and operating procedures. A video and photograph compilation of field day operations will be made available to the WIA, WANSARC members and the public to further promote our hobby.
Publicity
To be co-ordinated with assistance from the WIA, however a particular focus on local and regional media (print, radio and vision). Promotional focus prior to and during the event.
