Introduction
The Canberra Radio Club was established in 1951.
In 1957 it became the Canberra Radio Society.
The VK1 Division of the WIA was formed in 1973 and following the formation of the National WIA in May 2004 the VK1 Division was dissolved to become the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club incorporating the assets of the Canberra Radio Society.
Meetings
Meets at the Farrer Scout Hall, 21 Longeranong St, FARRER ACT
Fourth Monday each month at 7.30 pm for 8pm start.
Radio room open nights 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month.7.30PM to 9.30PM

Every Sunday at 0900hrs.local on
146.950 MHz. and 438.050 MHz. Mt Ginini repeaters.

Training Courses And Assessment Information
Foundation licence courses and assessments are run generally every two months depending on numbers.
Courses are run at Farrer.

Next foundation licence assessments weekend is proposed for the 13/14th September
