Event Details :
The Blue Mountains Amateur Radio Club will be on the HF bands. On ANZAC Day starting about 11.30am (local) after all official activities have finished, operation begins at the Glenbrook Bowling Club with the RSL.
Included is Carl Humphries with his military radio equipment as an exhibit.

Contact with a radio amateur in Turkey is hoped to result in an EchoLink conversation. The club banner will be used at the Bowling Club for added publicity. A number of BMARC members are anticipated to operate on a VI2ANZAC callsign roster throughout the week, mainly from BMARC Clubrooms in Moore Street Glenbrook.

Event Details :
The Illawarra region will commemorate the loss of the U.S. oil tanker "Cities Service Boston" which sank in a storm 16 May 1942 off the Illawarra coast. All crew were saved , however 4 servicemen from the Australian 6th machine gun battalion were lost in the rescue.
