Event Details :
Activated by the Scout Member Amateur Radio Team at Kings Park, near the State War Memorial where around 50,000 people gather for the Dawn Service. Rover Scouts maintain an all-night vigil at the War Memorial, a tradition now in its 81st year, and a portable Amateur Radio station will later fire up. Listen for a very active VI6ANZAC on the bands.

Event Details :
Commemorating the September 26 anniversary of two WWI Victoria Cross recipients. Private Patrick Joseph Bugden served in the 31st Battalion, and was killed during the Battle of Polygon Wood, Belgium. Sergeant John James Dwyer, 4th Company, Machine Gun Corps, was awarded for heroic action at Zonnebeke, Belgium.

Event Details :
Members of the Ham College have two major weekend activities, but will mostly be on air for the "last hurrah" of December 12-20.

For December 12-13 weekend at the RAAF Museum Bull Creek in the Cobra Helicopter display.

December 19-20 at the Ham College new shack in a scout hall.

Chris VK6PII advises that VI6ANZAC will be on HF using SSB and sometimes CW, and plans to activate an FM satellite as well.

The "last hurrah" departure ends on December 20.
