Membership Renewals Delayed

Date : 15 / 06 / 2005

A Message from the President, Michael Owen, VK3KI

A couple of weeks ago I told you that because of the reorganisation of the WIA office, with Judith Oliver taking over from June Fox, the installation of new equipment and software and illness, there were delays in a number of functions undertaken by the office.

I am pleased to tell you that the exam function is now completely up to date, with the last results being posted today.

However, there will be a couple of weeks delay before the renewal notices for July will be sent out.

July renewals account for nearly half the WIA’s total membership, and are usually posted in early June.

This year, the renewal notices are in a new form and will be generated by the new membership management software and offering renewals for 5 years. However, because of the requirement that we fully test the new system before going “live”, the July renewals will not be posted for a couple of weeks.

Please understand that we are going through a period of transition and change, so please forgive us if some things take a little longer than they should, and if something does get missed, do let us know. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

And please don’t worry if you haven’t received your renewal notice as early as you usually have received it, it will come and AR will also keep coming!

And when you do receive it, please think about renewing your membership for 5 years!
