Foundation Licence assessment start in earnest

The first trial foundation licence course was held on the Gold Coast over the weekend of October 15. Sixteen people obtained the necessary qualifications to allow them to be issued with a foundation licence. The assessment procedure used was reviewed and modified and a second trial assessment using the updated procedures was conducted in Sydney on Sunday 30. Two people sat for this assessment and successfully passed. The Gold Coast club conducted an assessment on Monday, November 7 for three people, all of whom passed.

Some minor changes have since been made to the procedures and the final two trial courses and assessment will be held in both Sydney and Melbourne this weekend, November 19. It is expected that around 20 people will complete the training and assessment.

Many clubs across Australia we be conducting training courses between next weekend and Christmas. Updates on progress will be posted to this site and on the WIA broadcast.
