Date : 13 / 12 / 2005
Author : Chris Jones - VK2ZDD

A combined Foundation Licence training and assessments session held at Box Hill North in Melbourne's east last weekend (10-11 December) resulted in seven qualifying for their licence.

The group was all males ranged in age from 15 years up to the early 70s and they came from various parts of the greater Melbourne area. About a third had previously attempted the Novice Licence. However the grounding received through the Foundation Licence training has given each of them renewed confidence to try for the Standard Licence in the New Year.

The Amateur Radio Victoria assessments were conducted by Ed Roache VK3BG, Phillip Adams VK3JNI and Jim Linton VK3PC, assisted by exam invigilator Barry Robinson VK3JBR and observer Kevin Luxford VK3DAP. Instructor was Murray Lewis VK3EZM.
