New WIA Website

Author : Robert Broomhead - VK3KRB

Welcome to the new look WIA website!

The new WIA website has a number of new and useful features, please take a moment to have a look around.

New features include:

A public information section "Discover Amateur Radio"
  An full online event calendar
  An online bookshop
A full page for every WIA affiliated radio club.
(Clubs will be able update their own page under password control)

There are still a number of items around the site that are still being completed, generally these will be fairly obvious. However if you feel you have noticed something that is not quite correct, then we really would appreciate and email, please send it to myself vk3krb@wia.org.au with a short description of the problem and details of the exact page you noticed it on.

If you are a WIA affiliated club we will shortly be sending your club secretary a letter in the mail containing your login details, password and instructions so you can update your club page. There are three club pages we have set up for you to look at as examples, in VK3 have a look at the Eastern And Mountain District Radio Club, also The Eastern Zone Amateur Radio Club and in VK1 have a look at the Australian Amateur Truck Drivers Club. As you will see from these three examples you can vary the level and depth of detail displayed online. The image on your club page can also be updated as often as you wish and the site allows for the inclusion of a google map so you can provide directions to your clubrooms. Your WIA club page will also allow you to include a link to your own club website.

Thanks Again for looking around, we trust you will enjoy using the new WIA website.

We will be posting further news bulletins over the next week or so with further details and information on the new website.
