Catch Up With Broken Hill Travelers On 40m

Date : 20 / 05 / 2008
Author : Robert Broomhead - VK3KRB

Those participating in the WIA AGM weekend and traveling by road to Broken Hill, will be keeping in touch on the 40m band using the 40m call frequency 7070 +/- QRM. Why not put out a call for those traveling in convoy and have chat as they journey their way to the event. The AGM weekend kicks off Friday night the 23rd and runs through to Sunday the 25th. So keep an ear out in the days leading up to and after the event. Once in Broken Hill we will be using the 2m frequency 146.550mhz for local nets and liaison throughout the AGM weekend. The 2m nets will be conducted Friday night, Saturday Morning and Sunday morning from the WIA information table at the Southern Cross Hotel. The nets provide the opportunity for a quick check in and updated news and information on the weekend events. Weekend participants have been encouraged to bring with them their 2m hand helds.
