Bharathi Prasad to visit Brisbane area clubs

Here is a real opportunity to meet with an Amateur Radio dignatory. VU2RBI Mrs Bharathi is the Chief Co-ordinator of India's National Institute of Amateur Radio, and will be visiting the city between November 30 and December 7.

Bharathi can tell some interesting stories, especially regarding her inaugural VU4 DXpedition to the Andaman Islands in 2004, which suffered an earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Bharathi changed over to being the only emergency comms in/out of the islands and hence Amateur Radio now is regarded highly by the highest powers in India.
