WIA 2015 AGM Weekend Canberra - Registrations Are Now Open

The WIA 2015 Annual General Meeting and weekend activities are being held in Canberra over the weekend of the 8th, 9th and 10th of May. The theme for this year's event is celebrating 10 years of the Foundation Licence and Amateur Radio to the future.

Friday 8th
For those arriving in Canberra on Friday evening an informal dinner and get together is being held at King O'Malleys Hotel 131 City Walk Canberra. The Hotel has offered to provide their Guinness Room also known as the Arcade for the WIA get together. The room is away from the central busy areas of the hotel ideal for sit down functions and larger groups.

Saturday 9th
Commencing 9:00am on Saturday morning the WIA Annual General Meeting and Open Forum will take place in the Poseidon Room at the Canberra City Hellenic Club, 13 Moore Street Canberra. The afternoon program will include a celebration of 10 years of the Foundation Licence along with "Amateur Radio to the Future" a series of interesting and informative presentations. This will be followed at 7:00pm by the traditional WIA Annual Dinner. The Canberra City Hellenic Club will be the venue for all Saturday activities, it is centrally located in the Canberra CBD with easy access to a wide range of Hotel accommodation and parking nearby. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea will be available for $21 per head, seats at the Annual dinner will be available for $35 per head. Saturday will also feature a partners tour run by the same compnay who provided the tours for the WIA Centenary weekend Canberra Day Tours.

Sunday 10th
Sunday will provide an opportunity for all attending the weekend to visit the many local Canberra attractions and to celebrate the ANZAC centenary.
