National Field Day

Date : 10 / 05 / 2010
Author : Philip Adams - VK3JNI

As part of the WIA Centenary celebrations we are proud to announce the National Field Day.

Please note Saturday the 23rd of October on diaries and Club Calendars now. This is your clubs' or group's opportunity to take Amateur Radio to the public. Here is your chance to get in on the ground floor on what will surely be Australia's biggest Amateur Radio publicity event each year. While the focus of the event is not a traditional contest, Attractive Award Certificates are planned for innovative, well presented Field Day Stations that catch the public eye and positively promote Amateur Radio.

You are encouraged to start considering where your club could run your high visibility field day station. Just a reminder, most Public Bodies will need to be assured that you have Public Liability Insurance for an activity such as this. Read the introductory story in the coming edition of AR magazine and keep an eye on the WIA website for more information.

Please email your enquiries or expression of interest to nfd@wia.org.au
