Special Event Station 4S0CGM

Special event station 4S0CGM will operate during the month of November to commemorate this very special event taking place in Sri Lsnka. This is a unique opportunity for the radio amateurs of Sri Lanka to hail this event and greet the world during this month when many heads of state as well as foreign ministers of 52 Commonwealth countries and numerous delegations come to Sri Lanka in connection with this meeting named CHOGM 2013.

On the 13th, 14th and 15th coinciding with the main conference of heads of state, the Station will operate from the premises of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.

The special event station will use all bands and a special QSL will be issued by the RSSL for all contacts. QSL information is P.O. Box907 Colombo. We have already set up a QRZ.Com page.

In addition three more calls have also been issued for the CHOGM which are 4S5CGM, 4S6CGM and 4S7CGM which individual operators can operate / their suffix a

Additionall all Sri :ankan radio amateur stations have the option of using their Call signs and /CGM during the month of November..

The RSSL HAS PERMISSION FROM THE AUTHORITIES FOR A BLANKET COVER FOR DELEGATES TO CHOGUM 2013 TO OPERATE THE CLUB STATION DURING THE CONFERENCE PERIOD.
