The WIA Office opened on Monday January 11, after a short summer break, and among its mail were packages of QSL Cards from overseas. The 6,500 QSLs are from the Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, the USA, Germany, Singapore, Brazil and Romania.
After sorting expected to be finished in a few weeks, these will be sent to the various State and Territory QSL managers, for further distribution.

Judging by that arrival, QSL cards are still an important part of Amateur Radio worldwide, alongside electronic eQSL cards.

QSL Cards came in this week on the 11th January and we had mail!

Form the Post Office we received QSL Cards from:

  Czech Republic
  Russia
  Poland
  USA
  Germany
  Singapore
  Brazil
  Romania

As can be seen by the photo the inwards QSL bureau has a lot of sorting to do. These QSL cards will be sorted over the next few weeks and sent to the various State and Territory QSL managers. Based on the estimated 6500 cards received this week, QSL cards are still an important part of Amateur Radio and very important to Radio Amateurs world wide. The QSL cards take their place along with E-QSL.
