WICEN NSW continues to demonstrate the valuable role that amateur radio operators play in supporting both emergency services and community events across Australia. Operating as a specialist support squad within the Volunteer Rescue Association of New South Wales (VRA Rescue NSW), WICEN NSW specialises in providing tactical radio communications during emergencies, land search operations, remote area training exercises and a range of public events.
