The Wireless Institute of Australia has released two new publicity brochures designed to help promote both Amateur Radio and WIA membership.
First unveiled at the recent AGM and Conference Weekend in Albury, the first brochure introduces Amateur Radio to people looking for a new and rewarding hobby, particularly those approaching retirement or entering a new stage of life. The second brochure highlights the work the WIA undertakes on behalf of Australian amateurs and encourages non-members to consider joining.
Copies of both brochures have now been distributed to all WIA affiliated clubs. Clubs are encouraged to make use of them at meetings, field days, exhibitions, open days, community events and other public activities where there is an opportunity to promote Amateur Radio and the benefits of WIA membership. Additional brochures are available on request through the WIA Office for suitable promotional activities.
The new brochures also feature the WIA's shortened web address, Link, which is currently under development. Clubs can personalise the Amateur Radio brochure by adding their own contact details to the space provided on the back. The WIA welcomes feedback from clubs on both the design of the brochures and their effectiveness in generating interest in Amateur Radio and WIA membership.
The Wireless Institute of Australia is Australia's national amateur radio peak body, powered by volunteers who contribute their time, expertise and passion to advance amateur radio for the benefit of the entire community.
