Reminder: WIA Affiliated Clubs Briefing This Sunday

Presidents and executives of WIA Affiliated Clubs are reminded that the next WIA Affiliated Clubs Briefing will be held this Sunday 20 September 2026 from 4:00 pm AEST.

Invitations and the meeting agenda were emailed to Affiliated Club Presidents a few days ago. If your club has not received its invitation, please check the president's junk or spam email folder first. If the invitation still cannot be located, contact WIA Clubs Coordinator Angelo Giuffre VK2NWT at Clubs@nationaloffice.wia.org.au.

The briefing is part of the WIA's continuing program to strengthen communication and collaboration with its Affiliated Clubs. At a high level, Sunday's meeting will cover the Foundation Licence Manual, the new Affiliated Club Executives Discord platform, the WIA's 2026–27 Strategic Priorities, upcoming club governance training and an open forum for clubs.

The Open Forum, provides an opportunity for affiliated clubs to raise issues, ask questions and share feedback directly with the WIA and other club representatives.

The Affiliated Clubs Briefings are intended to build a stronger two-way connection between the WIA and its national network of clubs. They also provide an opportunity for clubs to hear about new resources and initiatives, share their experiences and contribute to discussions about the practical issues facing amateur radio organisations around Australia.

So, club presidents, check the inbox, check the junk folder and make sure someone from your club is online from 4:00 pm AEST this Sunday.
