Date : 30 / 04 / 2006
Author : Michael Owen - VK3KI

On 6 May 2006 the Wireless Institute of Australia will be conducting its second Annual General Meeting since the adoption of its new Constitution when it became a single national body.

The Annual General Meeting will be held at the Sir Joseph Banks Room, The City of Bankstown RSL Club, 32 Kitchener Parade, Bankstown, New South Wales on Saturday 6 May 2006 at 2.00 pm and will be immediately followed by the Open Forum. This will finish no later than 5 pm.

The City of Bankstown RSL Club is 2 doors from the Telstra Telecommunications Museum and it will be open from 12 noon for any members wishing to visit. We are also hoping that it will be open again between 5 pm and 6.30 pm.

Following the Open Forum, the WIA will conduct its Annual Dinner for all wishing to attend at 6.30 pm, also in the Sir Joseph Banks Room.

During the Annual Dinner a presentation of awards will be made.

Cost will be $35 per head for a 3 course dinner, not including beverages. Dress will be smart casual.

Because only 130 people can be accommodated for the dinner, it is important that we receive early bookings. Please complete and return the Booking Form.

The WIA Board hopes that as many members and their friends as possible can attend this first major formal event of the national WIA to be held in Sydney .
