The Celebration Arrangements for the 100 birthday of Alf Chandler, VK3LC

Date : 13 / 04 / 2005
Author : Chris Jones - VK2ZDD

It is with considerable pleasure we advise that Mr Alf Chandler VK3LC, member of The Moorabbin & District Radio Club, achieves 100 years on 1st. June 2005.

Of that 100 years, 81 have been spent as an Amateur Radio Operator !

Alf maintains good health, with help from wife Elyse, (as all of the Tuesday Morning Group knows) and they both still attend meetings regularly.

The Tuesday Morning Group, under Chairman "Captain Kirk" and with help from the famous "Hospitality Group", will celebrate the occasion at the regular meeting on Tuesday 31st. May, commencing 10 am sharp.

The meeting on 31st. May is the closest to Alf's birth date, 1st. June. We hope that Alf will have the Queen's Message to show around.

All Amateur Radio Operators that can, are invited to attend to help Alf & Elyse celebrate. There is plenty of parking space next to the Combined Clubs Clubhouse in the Highett Reserve, Turner Rd. Highett. Details can be found on Melways Map 77, J9.

Dignitaries from Amateur Radio and the Kingston City Council have been invited to attend.

To help calculate attendance numbers. please RSVP via 95929957, or ken@melbpc.org.au or 20a Sussex St. Brighton 3186.

Ken Morgan VK3CEK. The Moorabbin & District Radio Club President
