Work continues on the Assessor accreditation courses that will be held in Adelaide over the weekend of August 27, on the Gold Coast on the weekend of September 10, Melbourne over the weekend of September 17 and Sydney over the weekend of September 24. We have written to all the clubs that we know of in Australia, inviting them to affiliate if
they are not already affiliated, asking if they are interested in nominating a suitable candidate and providing them with an application form. Many clubs have responded, several who were not affiliated have now done so and fourteen prospective candidates have applied to date to attend the course.

The course is being provided at now cost to the sponsoring club or the person attending the course. The WIA will also assist the clubs that will incur heavy travel costs, and in a number of cases will bear the full travel costs of the candidate.

There are a number of people who already hold qualifications sufficient for most of the qualification for accreditation as a WIA Assessor, in some cases for most of the qualification for accreditation as a Nominated Assessor. If you think that you have the right qualifications, we would like to hear from you. The qualifications required are current Unrestricted, Limited or Intermediate licence, and has successfully completed all or any of BSZ401A, BSZ402A, BSZ403A, BSZ404A and would like to join the WIA assessment program.

If you think that you can help, or if you have any questions relating to the program, please don't hesitate to contact WIA secretary Chris Jones, secretary@wia.org.au
