A good day had by all at the annual Blue Mountains Winterfest

Date : 28 / 08 / 2005
Author : Chris Flak - VK2QV

The National WIA ran a stand at the Blue Mountains Club Winterfest 2005 on Saturday 27th August. The stand dealt with several enquiries regarding membership, as well as signing up three new members. The stand also served as a platform for the National WIA Bookshop, and business was brisk throughout the day, with Drew Diamond books and AR Magazine proving popular. The WIA cap was also a good seller.

Phil Wait VK2DKN fielded many enquiries from Amateurs and Chris Flak VK2QV manned the bookshop. Peter Johnson VK2JBP also assisted in setting up the stand. The atmosphere at the Blue Mountains ARC clubhouse was very friendly and the National WIA was made to feel very welcome. In total 360 people attended this very successful winterfest.

Many thanks to the committee and members of Blue Mountains ARC for making the day such a success.
