Introduction

The Hunter Radio Group (HRG) has been going since 1922 and meets every month (February - November),in Newcastle. Members also catch up for on air callbacks after the weekly news broadcast by VK2AWX on Monday nights and on the local VK2RNC VHF and UHF repeaters.

MONDAY:
HRG operates a 30 minute weekly news broadcast via VK2AWX at 7:30pm on Monday nights on the following frequency: 146.975 MHz in the 2 metre band. Callbacks are taken after the broadcast.

WEDNESDAY:
HRG hosts a 60 minute weekly Chat session (Nett) via VK2AWX at 7:30pm on Wednesday nights on the following frequency: 146.975 MHz in the 2 metre band.

The VK2RNC repeater and beacon network operates from Mt Sugarloaf.

Meetings

The HRG meets on the second Thursday of the month (except December and January), at the Tighes Hill TAFE, Newcastle. The meeting starts with General Business, followed by a guest speaker on technical topics.

Place: Tighes Hill TAFE, Basden Building J, Newcastle.
Time: 6.30 p.m.
Ending: The evening generally concludes around 9 p.m.
