Introduction

The Elizabeth Amateur Radio Club is an active group of like minded radio and electronics enthusiasts. The Club meets twice a month, once for a business meeting and the second is a technical discussion on a specific subject or simply a social chat. These are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month additionally there are two "on-air" nets that occur on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday all are welcome.

Meetings

General Meeting - First Wednesday in the Month
Location: Club Rooms; 5 Burdett St, Elizabeth Grove (see map)
Time: 7:30pm for 8:00pm
General monthly meeting. Come along and hear what is happening within your radio club. Once the formalities of the meeting are over grab a cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat with like minded people.

Technical Night - Third Wednesday in the Month
Location: Club Rooms; 5 Burdett St, Elizabeth Grove (see map)
Time: 7:30pm for 8:00pm
General technical discussion, bring along your questions, equipment, homebrew projects, antennas etc. Group Projects are worked on during these nights.

2m VK5RLZ NET - Second Wednesday in the Month
Frequency: 146.625MHz FM, - offset
Time: 8:00pm+
A RagChew about various topics, Net controller uses the clubs call sign VK5LZ. Hope to hear you on the air.

80m HF NET Fouth Wednesday in the Month,
Frequency: 3.620 MHz aprox
Time: 8:00pm+
A great chance to test out the HF gear, Net controller uses the clubs call sign VK5LZ. Listen to the VK5RLZ 2m or 70cm repeaters for an exact frequency before the start, if you have any problems give a shout for help on one of these. Hope to hear you on the AIR.

Training Courses And Assessment Information

Amateur Radio License Upgrade Course - EARC 2008
Instructor: Will Anthony, VK5AHV
Date: Saturday 5-4-08 @ 10.30am running for 16 weeks
Location: Club Rooms
The Course is run using 'Radio Theory Handbook for Amateur Operators, Fourth Edition' as a base for the lectures with 1-2 chapters being covered each week with a small amount of reading between lectures. The Text is available for purchased from the Club for $75 and there is a small cover charge for the venue each week.
