The club aims to provide an environment to promote radio and electronics as an enjoyable hobby for all. We are fortunate to have our own building and have just finished updating our facilities after receiving grants from the Gaming Commission and Redcliffe City Council.

The club is open to all those with an interest in radio and electronics, and also offers training in radio, electronics and communications theory and practise.

Feel free to join us at the clubrooms at 7:30pm each monday night and every Wednesday at 9:00am.

****"REDFEST 2017" SATURDAY 22 April 2107****

The REDFEST Amateur Radio Convention will be held on Saturday 22nd April 2107 at St Michael's College as last year.
St Michael's College and the Abby Museum is well signposted from the Bribie Island Road, heading toward Bribie Island from the Highway. Look for signs from the Bribie Island Road

Doors will open at 09:00 and admission will be $5:00

Raffles and door prizes will be running on the day
Catering facilities will be provided
Easy and nearby parking

****Inaugural Q-Tech Conference 2017****

The Redcliff and Districts Radio Club proudly announce their intention to host the Inaugural Q-Tech conference to coincide with the 2017 Redfest convention on Saturday April 22nd 2017.
Both convention and conference will be held at the St Michaels College near the Abbey Museum in Caboolture Queensland.

The Q-fest conference is an entirely new initiative and will be comprised of a whole-day programme of technical lectures and practical demonstrations on subjects of wide interest to the hobby of Amateur radio.

The presentations will be provided by invited Speakers with particular interest and experience in each specialised field. The presentations will utilise the full range of audio-visual teaching facilities of the college intending to produce a first class technical experience for all those participating.

In its inaugural year participation in Q-Tech will be FREE for those attending the Redfest.

****Harry Angel Memorial 80m Sprint Contest****
R&DRC is also the Sponsor of the annual Harry Angel Memorial 80m Sprint Contest. The contest is open to all amateurs and Listeners and runs usually on the first Saturday in May each year. The contest commemorates the life of Harry Angel VK4HA who, at the time of his becoming a Silent Key, was the oldest licenced amateur in Australia. The contest runs for 106 minutes, one minute for each year of Harry's life.
