Introduction
The GRES was founded in 1963 when a group of Radio Amateurs saw the opportunity to broaden their skills and knowledge in a wider range of fields of electronics.
This continues today, as our Club offers members opportunities to learn and share special interests in new technologies.
We are enthusiastic not just about Amateur Radio and its many traditional and modern modes, but also in a range of electronic applications such as Micro-controllers, 3D printing, Robotic devices and software, as these become more complex yet more accessible than ever to the ordinary person.
We encourage membership for people of all ages and levels of experience, whether licensed radio amateurs or not. If you are interested or would like to learn and experiment in any of these fields, please contact us via our website, VK3ANR.net
Meetings
Our Club no longer has a permanent meeting home since our former clubhouse was demolished by the local City Council for unexplained reasons of its own.
However we still meet regularly at various local venues around the Geelong area, and we welcome enquiries from persons interested in joining us.
Club Activities & Events
We are currently unable to offer the range of practical radio and electronics workshop activities that we had previously provided for our members and guests – but as they say, “watch this space”!
