Introduction

WARC, (an acronym of Wyndham Amateur Radio Club), is an Amateur Radio Club that predominately serves the South Western suburbs of the city of Melbourne, Australia.

Formally established in late 2015 as WANDARC (Western and Northern Districts Amateur Radio Club) the members elected in September 2020 to change the name to WARC to better reflect the location of the majority of our members.

The Club seeks to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in which Members and others can share and enjoy all aspects of Amateur Radio.

If you are interested in Electronics, Computing and Radio you will find people here at the Club who are keen to share those interests with you.

The Club is holding regular Meetings as well as conducting Social Events and Field Days now that most COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. Check out our web site What's Happening/Calendar tab for these events.

We soon plan to continue with the training for; and the running of exams for the basic Foundation Licence. We also hope to do the same for both the Standard and Advanced Licences in the near future.

Membership is open to all, you do not need an Amateur Radio Licence to join.

If you are on Facebook, check out our page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/warcc) and you are welcome to join our group.

For those that have a licence, our Members can usually be found on our favourite 2m FM Repeater:

VK3RGL (147.000MHz with a 600kHz negative shift on TX and a 91.5Hz CTCSS) located up on Mt Anakie near Geelong.

You are quite welcome to jump on in and say G'day at any time.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Friday night and third Saturday of every month at our club rooms. Check our Web Site What's Happening/Calendar for dates and details.
